Privacy Policy

Summary

Rooftop, Inc. ("Rooftop", "we") provides dealer-tech software (AutoCurb, AutoLabels, AutoFilm, AutoFrame) to franchised and independent automotive dealerships. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices dealerships and their customers have. The dealership is the data controller for customer data; Rooftop is the processor.

What we collect

  • Dealership account data — names, emails, roles, store(s), DMS connection metadata.
  • Consumer data submitted to a dealership through Rooftop — name, contact, vehicle (VIN, make/model/condition), photos, signatures, and TCPA-compliant consent records.
  • Telemetry — module usage, error logs, and security audit events. No third-party advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To deliver the modules the dealership has subscribed to.
  • To enforce compliance gates (TCPA, FTC CARS Rule, state-specific addendum rules).
  • To produce audit trails the dealership can export.
  • For internal product reliability and security monitoring.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell consumer data.
  • We don't share data between dealerships.
  • We don't use consumer photos or videos to train third-party AI models.

Retention

Dealership records are retained for the life of the contract plus 7 years (matching dealer record-keeping norms). Consumer audit records (signatures, addendum disclosures) are retained for 7 years. AutoFilm video defaults to 24-month retention; longer available for compliance use cases.

Your choices

Dealerships can export or delete data via the dashboard. Consumers can request access or deletion through the dealership; Rooftop will process verified requests within 30 days.
