Six steps run on every vehicle in the same order, so the document a customer is handed is produced the same way whoever is working that day.

Ingest
Vehicles arrive from the store's inventory feed on a nightly sync, by CSV import, or from a phone scanning the lot. Each VIN becomes a record rather than a one-off document.

Verify
VIN decode establishes year, make, model, trim and factory equipment, and open NHTSA recalls surface before the vehicle is merchandised rather than after.

Generate
Window sticker, dealership addendum and Buyers Guide are produced from the same verified record, so the numbers on them cannot disagree with each other.

Review
The price on the document is checked against the price on the dealership's own live website, with a one-click re-check on any VIN before anything is signed.

The Vehicle Passport goes to the shopper by QR code on the glass and as an embed on the vehicle detail page, carrying equipment, disclosures and history.

- The advertised price on the document is checked against the price the dealership publishes on its own live website, and a mismatch is surfaced to a person before signing.

- What is included in the price, what the customer chose, and what the customer declined are itemized on one document the customer reviews and signs on their own phone.
- Designed to retain signatures and related records
- Document versions, signatures and the record they belong to are retained per VIN and exported on request, so the store can produce what a customer was shown on a stated day.
- Time-stamped and attributable actions
- Every generation, override, release and signature carries a time and the user who performed it. The document history is one list per vehicle, not a reconstruction from three systems.
- Configurable dealership disclosure policies
- The store configures its own disclosure set and product rules, and AutoLabels applies them the same way to every vehicle that matches, regardless of who is working.
What this page anchors to. Disclosure and advertised-pricing obligations under FTC Act Section 5 and state disclosure law are what AutoLabels is built around. The FTC’s CARS Rule was vacated by the Fifth Circuit on January 27, 2025 in NADA v. FTC and never took effect — it is not law, and no part of AutoLabels is sold against it.
What Rooftop does not claim. Rooftop provides workflow, documentation, and recordkeeping technology. It does not provide legal advice. Dealerships should review configurations and compliance requirements with qualified counsel.

Inventory syncs nightly and any VIN can be re-checked on demand, so a price that moved on the website does not sit unnoticed on the glass.
The Passport lives on the store's own domain
The customer-facing record is dealer-branded and embeds on the vehicle detail page, so the shopper never leaves the dealership's site to read it.
One document history per vehicle
Versions, signatures and actions accumulate against the VIN rather than inside whichever tool produced them.

- AutoLabels is operating in production.
- Nightly inventory sync, per-VIN re-check, document generation, customer signing and the Vehicle Passport are available today.
- Website price verification as a hard signing gate, the per-VIN tamper-evident defense file and verified installer sign-off are tier-dependent. Which capability sits in which tier is on the pricing page.
- Automatic state-by-state disclosure rules across all fifty states are In Development. Today the dealership configures its own disclosure set and AutoLabels applies it consistently.
- DMS export and accounting handoff work today. Real-time DMS write-back via webhooks is In Development and is not available.
- Cross-application handoffs — AutoFilm inspection evidence and completed repairs arriving in the Vehicle Passport, AutoCurb acquisition context following the VIN into merchandising — are In Development. They are not automatic today.
One deployment, disclosed
Harte INFINITI in Hartford, Connecticut is the only deployment Rooftop names, and it is the store where Rooftop’s founder works. It is a disclosed design partner, not an arms-length reference, and there is no second store to average against.
