Rooftop is the operating system for franchised and independent automotive dealerships, built around the trade-in moment dealers are losing today. Founded in 2024 by Ken Criscione — a 25-year Northeast F&I turnaround specialist who has documented mainstream and luxury PVR turnarounds in the same calendar year and still runs F&I at Harte INFINITI in Hartford, Connecticut — Rooftop ships AutoCurb, one product with two lanes. Lane 1 is a dealer-branded trade-in tool that lives on the dealer's existing website with a firm cash offer that holds at delivery, plugged into the service drive and the desk. Lane 2 is the same engine as a standalone off-street purchase landing page for Facebook ads, billboards, and email campaigns. The product was built and tested first inside Criscione's own F&I desk. Rooftop is priced per rooftop, not per VIN; a dealer pays the same whether they sell 50 or 500 vehicles a month. Delivered as software-as-a-service, hosted on US infrastructure, with a 60-day pilot, month-to-month billing after, and no cancellation penalty. The thesis: dealer-tech vendors stopped serving dealers a decade ago, and the operators on the desk every day are best positioned to fix it.
